The Kansas City Chiefs was able to take down the Cincinnati Bengals 26-25 on Sunday, September 15, 2024. This back and forth game saw over 5 lead changes which ended in a game winning field goal by Harrison Butker.
The Chiefs' Harrison Butker drilled a 51-yard field goal as the clock hit triple zeros, winning the game for Kansas City and moving them to 2-0 on the young season. The Chiefs were down late until a pass interference call on Bengals safety Daijahn Anthony on fourth down in the final minute which put the Chiefs in range for the field goal. The penalty moved the Chiefs all the way to the Cincinnati’s 36 yard line.
Patrick Mahomes on the day threw for 151 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Joe Burrow went for 258 yards and two touchdowns, both to Andrei Iosivas out of Princeton University.
The Bengals fall to 0-2 on year, and after last year’s disappointing season it’s looking like more of the same for Cincinnati.
