Freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith to get the start Week 1 for Ohio State

The new five star phenomenon out of Florida is turning heads at the Buckeye’s practice over this offseason.

When asked about the Freshman and his playing status going into week 1 against Akron, Head Coach Ryan Day simply said “Yes” to the young receiver getting on the field this Saturday, August 31.

Jeremiah’s time in high school was seen as nothing short as dominate being the best player on offense, bringing in 3 State Championships with amazing stats to go with the winning. Smith had over 1,300 yards and 19 touchdowns in his last season at Chaminade-Madonna Prep. Smith’s High school coach Dameon Jones said “He’s one of the smoothest players I’ve ever seen”. This lead him to earn the Nation’s number 1 recruiting prospect and start to turn a lot of heads.

With not only gaining respect of the fans and coaches, many of the Buckeye’s cornerbacks are looking to target him out already to help them with their game. Denzel Burke, one of the Buckeyes corners said “He’s a killer in every aspect of football”.

With a lot of high expectations going into this season, the sky is the limit for the young receiver.
