Breaking: Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Detained Right Before Week 1 Game

On his way to the Week 1 game agasint the Jacksonville Jagaurs, a Miami Dolphins wide reciver, Tyreek Hill, was detained by Miami police. Multpile videos have appeard on the social media X where he can be seen laying face down in handcuffs.


On ESPN, Drew Rosenhaus, Hill's agent said "Obviously I love Tyreek. I hated to see him in the situation he was in with the police. He is going to play today. No. 1 he’s OK. No. 2, he’s going to play. No. 3, apparently he got a ticket for a moving violation entering the stadium. How things escalated into the situation that they were in, in handcuffs and being held on the ground with police, is mind boggling to me. I’m deeply concerned by that. Very troubled. We will be looking into it. We will be investigating this. We will look out for Tyreek, but I’m not going to make any allegations at this time. The most important thing is Tyreek is OK physically, mentally he was very distraught about what happened.” (APNews.com)

Hill is going into his third season with the Dolphins which marks his ninth year in the NFL. He has been in serveral legal issues some dating back to college.


In 2014, Hill was arrested for assualting his pregnant girlfriend and pleaded guilty to domestic assault accoridng to (ESPN)


In 2019, though no charges were brought against him and the NFL did not punish Hill, he was the subject of an investigation by Kansas City police for an alleged violence incident involving his 3-year-old son.(Thesportingnews.com).


In 2023, after a verbal argument, Hill settled his dispute with a worker at the Miami Beach Haulover Marine Center, who claimed that Hill had assaulted him. The league decided not to penalize Hill and no charges were made. (Thesportingnews.com)
